Race to Save Lives / 2019 / Planning, UX, UI, Design, Development, payment gateway integration / Launch project
Race to Save Lives is an innovative fundraising platform for United Hatzalah – the largest independent, non-profit, fully volunteer Emergency Medical Service organization that provides the fastest and free emergency medical first response throughout Israel.
With the help of their unique GPS technology and iconic ambucycles, their average response time is less than 3 minutes across the country and 90 seconds in metropolitan areas.
Since launch, the platform has raised $110,439 which has helped save approximately 10,800 lives.

The Race to save lives is a platform for organizing virtual races. Competitors join from anywhere in the world and compete not in speed or distance but in funds raised for the United Hatzalah cause.

Avi, the coach, is available to help competitors prepare, and they'll need to – the goal is to reach 3 miles on race day.

United Hatzalah spread word of the race through social media and provided tips to competitors on how to promote their own efforts.

Each competitor can become a captain and form a running team (great for families for example).

Both teams and individual runners can compete on their respective scoreboards.

Besides fundraising through the virtual races, uhrun.com provides convenient ways for traditional donations or sponsorships with support for multiple currencies.
